LLM Engineer

What you'll do
- Design and implement RAG architectures with advanced retrieval strategies, reranking, and evaluation frameworks
- Fine-tune language models for specific domains and use cases, managing training pipelines and data preparation
- Build robust LLM pipelines with proper prompt engineering, output parsing, and error handling
- Implement evaluation frameworks to measure and improve model performance systematically
- Optimize inference latency and cost for production deployments
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Stay current with rapidly evolving LLM research and tooling landscape
- Contribute to our internal tooling and best practices documentation
What we're looking for
Essential
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years focused on LLM applications
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with ML frameworks
- Hands-on experience building RAG systems or fine-tuning language models
- Understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, etc.)
- Familiarity with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex ML systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to have
- Experience with LLM evaluation and benchmarking frameworks
- Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment at scale
- Familiarity with embedding models and semantic search techniques
- Experience with model optimization (quantization, distillation)
- Contributions to open-source LLM projects
- Experience with agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGPT)
- Understanding of AI safety and responsible AI practices
- Master's or PhD in a relevant field
